CAT6 3 metres
Connecting to the internet can be done in a number of ways. Nowadays you can often easily connect to a wireless network. A freely accessible network is available at almost every event location. The advantage of a wireless network is that you often remain mobile and can easily take the device (such as a laptop) with you. A disadvantage, however, is the reliability. The coverage of the network needs to be excellent and preferably not freely accessible. Even if this is the case, this is no guarantee of success. That’s why we consciously choose to use a wired network connection. These are generally more stable and therefore provide more reliability. The speed of these connections is also often higher than wireless connections. However, you will need a CAT6 network cable for this.
CAT6 Properties
The CAT6 cable (or CAT6e) cable is a typical network cable and can be used for many different things. This includes exchanging data between different devices, but also connecting a laptop to the internet. This CAT6 cable has 8 different cores and is equipped with RJ-45 connectors on both sides. Since both ends are equipped with a male plug, you can't connect link multiple copies of this cable to each other. This means that you must think carefully about the required length. You can’t just extend this cable.
Use
Network cables are quite vulnerable due to the thin wires. Our network cables are therefore equipped with a cable tie. These keep the cable neatly coiled up during transport. This keeps the cable compact, and the chance of it getting stuck or interfering is much smaller. Because of their vulnerability, we expect the rented cables to be returned in the same condition as when we handed them over to you. If they are returned in a different state than when we provided them, we will be forced to bill you extra.
