Pioneer DJM-A9
There it is. The long-awaited successor to the well-known DJM-900 Nexus 2 mixer. A new standard. The Pioneer DJM-A9. Every (world) famous DJ will accept this mixer or has it already listed on his or her technical rider. This Pioneer DJM-A9 mixer has been specially designed to work perfectly with the previously announced new media player. The
Pioneer CDJ-3000.
Despite the fact that this DJ mixer has been given a completely new name, your DJ will not be faced with any surprises. The well-known layout of the mixers from the DJM range has simply been retained. For example, the Pioneer DJM-A9 mixer still has four 60mm faders, 3-band equalizer, double microphone input, extensive effects section, sound color FX and many other options.
What's new?
Of course, improvements have also been made to make the mixer even more user-friendly. More space has been created around the EQ knobs, making them easier to operate. The brightness of the LEDs has been increased, making them easier to read in bright conditions. The existing Sound Color FX has also been given an adjustable (center) lock so that these knobs do not just shoot through the center position when this is not desirable. Updates have also been made with regard to connecting microphones. On the DJM-A9 it is possible to send phantom power, making it possible to connect a condensator microphone. You can also send three separate sound effects over the microphone channel.
Connections
You won't find much new on the back of the Pioneer DJM-A9. The connections have largely remained the same, so that it will immediately feel familiar to the technicians. This DJ mixer still has two XLR and RCA connectors for connecting a sound system. Connecting the DJ monitors still needs to be done via the Jack 6.3mm connection. This gives the DJ - independent of the volume for the audience - control over the volume of the monitors. The mixing console has four inputs for connecting media players or turntables. Four line inputs for CDJs, for example, and four phono inputs for turntables.

Tips
Drinks
Always be very careful with drinks in the DJ booth. DJ mixers cannot withstand humidity and are absolutely not waterproof. As a result, the moisture will run directly into the mixer, after which it will immediately cause irreparable damage. Immediate failure of the equipment cannot be ruled out.
Season
During the festival season these mixers are very busy. We therefore always recommend reserving such specific items early.
